“ The absolute best calamari I have ever had and the table agreed. The mussels also had the same reaction! Cool old beach vibe excellent service, a true little gem on the beach. Don't find those too often. We just accidentally stumbled in and was a fantastic experience! ”

“ Calamari in marinara might be my new fav! Lovely dinner beachside at Saulte. Great staff and timeliness with orders going in and out. Plenty of seating and a variety of options on the menu. The seafood special I had came with fettuccini pasta - lobster, shrimp, and scallops. Others tried the spaghetti and meatballs, and fettuccini Alfredo. Seafood tasted very fresh. ”
“ On 01-18-25 my wife and I decided to spend the day at Higgs Beach. One of the reasons we decided on Higgs was the Salute On the Beach Restaurant. You can get drinks from the bar and go back to the beach. Just a short 100 yards or so from beach to restaurant. Let me tell you this is as close to paradise as it gets. Look at the view. At Salute I experienced two firsts. I had Stone Crab for the first time. The crab was lite in flavor and not real sweet. There was a honey mustard dipping sauce that was good. We also had the gazpacho soup and blackened chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious. Finally, we had to try our very first Key Lime Pie. We had forgotten the day before to get a slice @Blue Heaven. Fortunately for us Salute gets their Key Lime Pie from Blue Heaven. I was surprised I liked the pie a lot. So did my wife. The pie was sweet and just tart enough and the graham cracker crust was buttery and enough texture to go with the rest of the pie. If You're looking for a great place to spend the day at the beach and have food and drinks close by look no further. Go and see why this is a slice of heaven. ”

“ Located on the beach with a wide view of the ocean. We dined outside and enjoyed the scenery of people walking by and some playing volleyball. Our server was friendly and attentive. She knew the menu and was quick with our drinks. I had the Coconut mojito which was delicious. The coconut rum was a nice touch. We were here for lunch and my husband and I both opted for salad. Probably one of the top seared tuna salads I've had....at least in recent memory. This salad was simple, flavorful, and oh so good. The tuna was heavenly. The orange pinwheels complimented the dressing so well. We traveled to the restaurant via the Old Town Trolley so if you are doing that you can jump off at stop #10! ”
“ It was a Black Friday sunset dinner with no waiting line--we were seated immediately as a party of three. The food was surprisingly delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were prompt and polite. Live entertainment on the beach right in front of the restaurant added a charming touch to the experience. Parking was hassle-free. A convenient spot for catching the sunset or enjoying a quick drink and bite after swimming in the area. Few seating options, tables on the sand, near the parking lot, and on a concrete patio. Open and shaded areas. ”
“ Salute had a summer promo where they offer half off on main entrees before 7PM, I believe. This worked out perfectly for us, and we got to even enjoy a game of volleyball, which the outdoor seating was next to. My Fettuicine Alfredo with Scallops ($41 originally, $20.5) was alright if it wasn't for the divine blackened scallops. I'm skeptical around scallops usually in my dishes due to the blandness, but blackened helped tremendously in seasoning them well. Lastly, I am so happy they have Blue Heaven's Key Lime Pie ($11) here since Blue Heaven was closed for the season. Not only are they tall, but they might just be the few pies out there that have a meringue topping. ”
“ Located right on the beach away from the bustle of Duval Street, Salute on the Beach is a great spot for dinner (or a drink) at sunset. If you sit outside, there's beautiful views of the ocean. It can definitely get busy, and the wait can be long. However, they do have a to-go section where you can grab a drink while you wait. Food and drinks are good. Both the calamari and mussels were tasty, and a good price for the amount of food, too. Delicious key lime pie! Restaurant is also right by the pier, so a nice little walk while you wait for your table or after dinner. ”
